Atlas Hospitality files plans for 401-key hotel in Times Square

Atlas Hospitality, on April 28, filed a permit application for construction of a 401-key, 135,363-square-foot hotel building at 711 Seventh Avenue in Times Square, Manhattan. Raj Guru through TSQ Development LLC was the filing representative.

The plans call for the construction of a 343-foot tall, 32-story building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number M00498287. The development will occupy one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: hereby filing for new 31-story R-1 hotel building.

According to public records in Acris, the property has been owned by Corner Locations II LLC since the 1980s, and no sale or ground lease has been recorded since then, so it’s unknown if the developer has control through a lease or as yet unrecorded sale. PincusCo reached out to Atlas and Corner Locations but did not immediately receive a response.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have two retail spaces, reception, an office and luggage area, a hotel lobby, and a loading dock. Floors two through 16 will each have 14 hotel rooms per floor, floors 17 through 21 will each have 16 hotel rooms per floor, and floors 22 through 30 will each have 14 hotel rooms per floor. The 31st floor will have a rooftop bar and lounge with an outdoor terrace. The 32nd floor will house mechanical equipment.

The estimated job cost is $10,000,000.

Gene Kaufman Architect PC is listed as the architect.
