Atlantis Development is fully permitted for 27-unit resi building in Morrisania

Atlantis Development, on March 16, was given a permit for construction of a 27-unit, 20,237-square-foot residential building at 3923 Carpenter Avenue in Morrisania. Robert Lumaj filed the plans.

The permit is a plumbing permit, the developer received foundation and new building permits last month.

The plans, pre-filed on June 19, 2018, call for the construction of a 65-foot tall, seven-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new apartment building.

The ground floor of the building, per the plans, will have healthcare facility space, recreation space, and a lobby. The second floor will have additional health care facility space and two dwelling units. Floors three through seven will each have five dwelling units per floor. The building also has laundry in the cellar and nine parking spaces outside.

Badaly Architects is in charge of the design.

Demolition plans have not yet been filed.

According to a report from Yimby, construction will likely last 18 to 24 months after permits are issued.

The property was acquired for $462,500 on March 5, 2018.
