Atlantis Development files plans for 42-unit residential building in Mott Haven

Robert Lumaj’s Atlantis Development, on November 4, filed a permit application for construction of a 42-unit, 32,236-square-foot residential building at 637 East 233rd Street in Mott Haven.

The plans call for the construction of a 48-foot tall, five-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construction of new multifamily building.

The cellar of the building will have a laundry room and recreation room, according to the plans. The ground floor will have six dwelling units while floors two through five will each have nine dwelling units per floor.

Leder-Luis Architectural Design, PLLC will be behind the development’s design.

Demolition plans have not yet been filed.

Robert Lumaj has developed other residential buildings in the borough. In 2017 he was behind plans for a eight-story, 45,312-square-foot residential building with 64-units at 1978 Anthony Avenue in Mount Hope.
