Ascent Development permitted for 92-unit resi building in LIC

Ascent Development, on May 25, was given a permit for construction of a 92-unit, 76,322-square-foot residential building at 45-25 Davis Street in Long Island City. Amit Veeramachaneni filed the plans.

The permit issued was a new building permit. The developer had previously been issued foundation permits in February.

The plans, pre-filed on February 1, 2019, call for the construction of a 222-foot tall, 24-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new 24-story residential building as per plans filed.

According to the plan, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and recreation space. The second floor will have a playroom, lounge, and fitness room. The residential units will span floors three to 24, with several having private terraces.

Marvel Architects is listed as the architect for the project.

The developer recently signed a new construction loan with Preferred Bank valued at $64.2 million for the development.

Demolition of the single-story building that previously occupied the property was completed in February of last year.

The property was acquired for $10.6 million on May 30, 2019.
