AKI Development permitted for 22-unit resi building in Astoria
AKI Development, on May 26, was given a permit for construction of a 22-unit, 15,271-square-foot residential building at 26-12 4th Street in Astoria, Queens. Brett Harris filed the plans.
The permit issued was a plumbing permit. The developer received new building and foundation permits last month.
The plans, pre-filed on July 12, 2018, call for the construction of a 70-foot tall, seven-story residential building.
The project is described in the filings as: filing application herewith to erect a new building containing 22 dwelling units, seven-stories, no cellar.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and off-street parking for 11 cars. Floors two through six will each have four dwelling units per floor, while the seventh floor will have two dwelling units. The roof will have a passive roof terrace.
Demolition of the single-story structure that previously occupied the property was completed in December of 2020.
The property was acquired for $3.5 million on August 29, 2019.
