Arshad Jamal files plans for 25-unit mixed-use building in Jamaica
Arshad Jamal through the company Accentors LLC, on September 1, filed a permit application for construction of a 25-unit, 28,505-square-foot mixed-use building at 172-10 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.
There have been 35 new building plans filed in the neighborhood so far this year. Of those 35 plans, seven, including these plans, have been multifamily residential buildings.
The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00584914. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: new eight-story and cellar and 25-unit, mixed-use building as per “quality housing” provisions, class “A” multiple dwelling.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, retail space, and community space. The second floor will have additional retail space and three dwelling units. Floors three through five will each have four dwelling units per floor, and floors six through eight will each have three dwelling units per floor. The seventh floor will also have an open terrace. The cellar will have retail storage and eight parking spaces.
The estimated job cost is $3.4 million.
The property was acquired for $2 million on February 5, 2019.
