A&R Properties Group permitted for 94-unit mixed-use building in Flushing

A&R Properties Group, on August 30, was given a permit for construction of a 94-unit, 74,405-square-foot mixed-use building at 71-82 Parsons Boulevard in Flushing, Queens. Joshua Asherian, managing director of development and acquisitions at A&R, filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on January 27, 2021, call for the construction of an 82-foot tall, eight-story mixed-use building.

There have been 55 new building plans filed in the neighborhood so far this year. Of the 55 total plans, these plans have the third most residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed eight-story mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, community facility, and parking for 15 cars. The second floor will have a common terrace, residential lounge, laundry room, and 15 dwelling units, five of which will have private terraces. Floors three through six will each have 16 dwelling units per floor. The seventh floor will have multiple recreation spaces and seven dwelling units, five of which will have private terraces. The eighth floor will have seven dwelling units, one of which will have a private terrace.

ARC Architecture + Design Studio is listed as the architect.

No demolition plans have been filed yet.

The property was acquired for $3.3 million on December 3, 2013.
