Arker Companies receives TCO for 144-unit mixed-use building, part of 1,169-unit ‘The Fountains’

Alex Arker’s Arker Companies, on December 11, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 144-unit, 127,088-square-foot mixed-use building, known as Fountain Seaview B3, at 881 Erskine Street in East New York.

The building is part of an eight-building, 1,169-unit, 1.2-million-square-foot affordable housing development, known as The Fountains, which when fully complete will occupy a 6.7-acre plot of land.

The plans, pre-filed on May 17, 2017, call for the construction of a 95-foot tall, nine-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and seven months.

The project is described in the filings as: new nine-story mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor has multiple commercial spaces, a residential lobby, and open garage with parking for 44 cars. Floors two through seven each have 20 dwelling units and laundry per floor, while floors eight and nine each have 12 dwelling units and laundry per floor.

The developer received TCOs for two other developments in the complex, at 10 Schroeders Walk and 702 Vandalia Avenue, last month.
