Arjan Gjushi permitted for 59-unit resi building in Highbridge

Arjan Gjushi, on August 30, was given a permit for construction of a 59-unit, 43,411-square-foot residential building at 1591 Jesup Avenue in Highbridge, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on November 6, 2020, call for the construction of a 64-foot tall, eight-story, residential building.

There have been 14 new building plans filed in the neighborhood so far this year. Since the start of 2020 there have been plans filed for 35 new buildings in Highbridge.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new eight-story building.

According to the plans, the ground floor will be split between a residential lobby and a community facility. Floors two through seven will each have seven dwelling units per floor, while the eighth floor will have five dwelling units and recreation rooms. The building will have 18 parking spaces located outside.

The property was acquired for $900,000 on October 19, 2018.

The developer recently filed plans for the construction of a 44-unit, 35,087-square-foot mixed-use building at 2043 Webster Avenue in Fordham.
