Arben Mitaj files plans for 63-unit resi building in Fordham, days after filing plans for 60-unit building
Arben Mitaj, on May 14, filed a permit application for construction of a 63-unit, 40,479-square-foot residential building at 2180 Walton Avenue in Fordham, the Bronx.
The plans come just two days after the developer filed plans for a 60-unit, 37,726-square-foot residential building at 2183 Morris Avenue, which abuts the Walton Avenue property in the middle of the tax block.
The parcels are two of five which Arben Mitaj signed a memorandum of lease with Barry Leon for. The 99-year ground lease started on March 23, 2021, and is valued at $4.62 million.
The plans call for the construction of an 84-foot tall, nine-story building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number X00516711. The development site spans two tax lots.
The project is described in the filing as: new apartment building.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have five dwelling units. Floors two through seven will each have seven dwelling units per floor, while floors eight and nine will each have eight dwelling units.
Badaly Architects is listed as the architect.
The estimated job cost is $10 million.
