Amritpal Sandhu permitted for 77-key hotel with 18 apartments in Tremont

Amritpal Sandhu through the company Third Ave BX LLC, on May 21, was given a permit for construction of a 77-key, 37,424-square-foot hotel building at 4477 3rd Avenue in Tremont. The building will also have 18 residential apartments.

Both new building and foundation permits were issued.

The plans, pre-filed on December 17, 2019, call for the construction of a 92-foot-tall, nine-story mixed-use hotel building.

The project is described in the filings as: this application is filed for new nine-story mixed-use building for transient hotel and residential use.

Per the plans, 18 of the units will be apartments, while 77 will be hotel units. The ground floor of the building will have five hotel rooms, a lobby, exercise room, and breakfast area. Floors two through six will each have 13 hotel rooms per floor. Floors seven and eight will each have seven apartment units, while the ninth floor will have four apartments and a recreation space. The cellar will have seven hotel rooms.

M.S. Savani Architects PC is listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $3.9 million on January 18, 2019.
