Altmark Group plans 150-unit mixed-use building in Wakefield
Moshe Altmark’s Altmark Group plans to build a 150-unit, mixed-use building at 4541 Furman Avenue in Wakefield, the Bronx.
The building will have commercial and community facility and affordable housing. The parcel is currently occupied by a 24,810-square-foot industrial and manufacturing building.
Altmark is planning other buildings in the borough, including two towers with a total of 272 units in Port Morris.
The plans were disclosed in a zoning map amendment and two zoning text amendments, the CEQR fee was paid on June 8. The plans seek a zoning map amendment from M1-1 to R7D and R7D/C2-4, a zoning text amendment to Appendix F for affordable housing, and a zoning text amendment to Appendix I to expand the transit zone to facilitate the new building.
Altmark purchased the property for $3.6 million on July 17, 2018.
