Aleksander Lakaj permitted for 33-unit resi building in Williamsbridge

Aleksander Lakaj through the company 765 East 214 LLC, on May 3, was given a permit for construction of a 33-unit, 22,413-square-foot residential building at 765 East 214th Street in Williamsbridge, the Bronx.

The permit issued was a plumbing permit. An initial new building permit was issued last month.

The plans, pre-filed on April 2, 2019, call for the construction of a 65-foot tall, eight-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: new eight-story residential building.

The ground floor of the building will have two dwelling units and utility rooms, per the plans. Floors two through four will each have utility rooms and four dwelling units per floor. The sixth floor will have six dwelling units and utility rooms, while the seventh floor will have four dwelling units and utility rooms. The building will have recreation space outside.

Fred Geremia Architects & Planners is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition of the three-story building which previously occupied the site was completed in January of last year.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The property was acquired with two other properties for $980,000 on August 27, 2018.
