Aidi Xu files plans for enlargement of four-story building to 19 units in Midtown East

Aidi Xu through the company Bamboo Garden LLC, on May 31, filed plans for a project to enlarge a two-unit building to a 19-unit building at 213 East 48th Street in Midtown East, Manhattan.

The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 42-foot tall, four-story building with two dwelling units to a 60-foot tall, six-story building with 19 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00727076.

The project is described in the filing as: vertical enlargement to existing four-story residential, convert the building to six-story residential. Obtain a new C of O.

Per the plans, following the project, the ground floor of the building will have two dwelling units. Floors two through four will each have four dwelling units per floor. The fifth floor will have three dwelling units, while the sixth floor will have two dwelling units.

The architect listed is Lu Ning Architecture, PLLC.

The property was acquired for $5 million on February 15, 2017.
