$2M plans filed to convert three-family building to single-family in Lenox Hill

Fred Pasternack, on July 19, filed plans for a $2 million rehab of a building at 29 East 63rd Street in Lenox Hill, Manhattan.

The plan call for the increase in size of the building from a 91-foot tall, five-story building with three dwelling units to a 101-foot tall, six-story building with one dwelling unit. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00535056.

The project is described in the filing as: Change of use from R-2 (three-family) to a R-3 (one-family) occupancy. General construction, gut renovation.

According to the plans, the building currently has a duplex unit occupying floors one and two, and one full dwelling unit on both the third and fourth floors. The project aims to restructure the building so that there is one fifth of a unit spanning floors one through four and the basement.
