$27.4M condo plan submitted at once-stalled LIC development site

The sponsor entity 1064 Jackson Development, LLC submitted a condominium plan for 22 residential units and one commercial unit at 1064 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.

The project has been in the works for years. Previous developers originally filed plans for the development in 2012. Then after the project stalled for an extended period of time, Mark Zeldin, a local condo developer, purchased the site for $8 million in December of 2018.

The condo plan, CD210126, has a sellout price of $27.4 million with the New York State Attorney General. Mark Zeldin and Semyon Vays are listed as the principals of the sponsor.

In 2012, new building plans were filled with the New York City Department of Buildings calling for the construction of a 95-foot tall, eight-story, 26,053-square-foot, residential building with 22 dwelling units at the property.

The development has not received its initial TCO, but was permitted in July of 2020.

Per the DOB plans, the ground floor of the building will have commercial space and a residential lobby. Floors two through six will each have four dwelling units per floor. Two duplex units will be located on the seventh and eighth floors, along with private terraces. The cellar will have a gym and the second floor will have recreation space.

Zproekt is listed as the architect for the project.
