2 more buildings demolished making way for 314-unit Lonicera tower in Downtown Brooklyn

Two small commercial buildings each with 20-feet of frontage were signed off as demolished on August 19, to make way for the 314-unit tower Lonicera Partners is planning at 15 Hanover Place in Downtown Brooklyn.
The developer filed to demolish the buildings, 285 Livingston Street and 287 Livingston Street, in March 2022. Two other parcels have been demolished of the total of five tax lots. One building, according to a review of city records, 289 Livingston Street, still remains. A permit application to demolish that building was submitted July 5, 2022.
Lonicera Partners, on September 21, filed a permit application for construction of a 314-unit, 244,085-square-foot mixed-use building at 15 Hanover Place in Downtown Brooklyn. John Evans, a principal at the firm, filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 348-foot-tall, 34-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00588594. The development site spans five tax lots.
The project is described in the filing as: application to be assigned to HUB per Consultation meeting on 9/9/2021. Construction of a new 34-story mixed-use building.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have multiple retail spaces, a residential lobby, and amenity space. The second floor will have parking for 63 cars. The third floor will have amenity space and a terrace. Floors four and five will each have nine dwelling units per floor, floors six through 24 will each have 11 dwelling units per floor, the 25th floor will have five dwelling units, floors 26 through 32 will each have 10 dwelling units per floor. Floors 33 and 34 will each have six dwelling units and amenity spaces. The roof will have a terrace and the cellar will have a fitness room, game lounge, kid’s room, and yoga studio.
