FDNY files plans for $2.2M rehab of firehouse in Rockaway Park

The Fire Department of the City of New York, on October 26, filed a permit application for a $2.2 million rehabilitation of the Rockaway Beach Firehouse building at 92-20 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Rockaway Park.

The plans call for a rehab of the roof, mezzanine, and all floors of the 35-foot tall, three-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: restoration of existing facade, replacement of existing roof system, and extended existing mezzanine. No changes in use, egress, or occupancy under this application. No changes to lot coverage area. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,171,579.

Ronnette Riley Architect is the architect named.
