Zara Realty files plans for 223-unit mixed-unit building in Jamaica
Zara Realty, on November 13, filed a permit application for construction of a 223-unit, 157,265-square-foot mixed-use building at 153-10 88th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.
The plans call for the construction of a 95-foot tall, nine-story mixed-use building. The owner representative was Ken Subraj, a principal with Zara Realty.
The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith nine-story mixed-use building as per plans.
The building’s cellar will have storage, laundry, locker rooms, an office, and a parking garage, per the plans. The ground floor will have parking, seven dwelling units, an exercise room, lounge, residential lobby, and community facility space. Floors two through seven will each have 30 dwelling units per floor, the eighth floor will have 20 dwelling units, and the ninth floor will have 16 dwelling units and recreational space. The roof will have additional recreation space.
Leyva Ismael Architect PC is listed as the architect.
Demolition plans were filed in 2009 for the house and garage on the property.
