Yosef Elishayev pays $8M to Common Ground/Breaking Ground for Extell-built rentals in Yorkville

Yosef Elishayev through the entity 1766 Associates LLC paid Common Ground/Breaking Ground’s 1766-68 Second Avenue Housing Development Fund Corp. $8 million for 1766 Second Avenue and commercial condominium units in 1768 Second Avenue in Yorkville. The deal closed on June 25, 2020, and was recorded on July 6, 2020.

The two rental buildings were developed by Extell Development and the deed transferred to Common Ground/Breaking Ground in 2015. The contract to sell to Elishayev was signed May 7, 2020. The last time the property sold was July 16, 2014, when Extell Development bought it for $13,550,000.
The DOB issued a new construction (NB) initial temporary certificate of occupancy for the building with 20 residential (or hotel) units on January 14, 2019 for one of the buildings.
