Xiaojun Chen permitted for 76-key hotel in Bay Ridge

Xiaojun Chen, on October 21, was given a permit for construction of a 76-key, 26,930-square-foot hotel building at 636 86th Street in Bay Ridge.

The plans call for the construction of the only (R-1) hotel building in the neighborhood since March of 2018.

The plans, pre-filed on February 28, 2020, call for the construction of a 66-foot tall, six-story, 26,930-square-foot hotel building with 76 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: erect new six-story plus cellar hotel.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, breakfast and lounge area, and six hotel rooms. Floors two through six will each have 14 hotel rooms per floor. The cellar will have an employee lounge and exercise room.

JWC Architect Engineer is listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $5.7 million on May 7, 2019.
