WIN files plans for 95-unit shelter in Mott Haven
Women In Need (WIN), on July 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 95-unit, 89,005-square-foot building at 323 Jackson Avenue in Mott Haven, Bronx. Rondel Boodram, Chief Financial Officer at WIN, filed the plans.
WIN is the largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing in New York City, per the organization’s website.
The plans call for the construction of a 106-foot-tall, 11-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00759977.
The development site spans two tax lots. The lot has a width of 350 feet.
The project is described in the filing as: propose new 11-story plus cellar building as non-profit institution with sleeping accommodations (UG 3A) as per plan. obtain new C of O.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have offices, a community room, a daycare, a functional facility, and recreation space. Floors two through six will each have 13 units per floor, and floors seven through 11 will each have six units.
