Werber Real Estate files plans to demolish 21K sf retail building in Jackson Heights
Benjamin Werber of Werber Management, on September 20, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 21,486-square-foot retail building at 72-11 Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens.
The developer purchased the building for $24 million from Delwar Hussain’s Delco Properties in early June of last year. Weber borrowed $12 million from Signature Bank to acquire the property.
No new building plans have been filed yet at the property, which has a development potential of 60,904 square feet, according to an analysis by PincusCo.
These are the third demolition plans in the neighborhood so far this year.
The plans call for the demolition of a single-story retail building.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of one-story structure, using hand held and mechanical to assist.
