Wei Wang through the company Dyker and Brooklyn NY Inc., on May 26, filed plans for a project to enlarge a two-unit building to a 53-unit building at 5712 7th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The project will increase the size of the building from 12,793 square feet to 76,711 square feet.
The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 23-foot tall, two-story building with two dwelling units to a 95-foot tall, nine-story building with 53 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00741243.
The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 100 feet.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed nine-story with cellar and sub-cellar mix-use building with horizontal and vertical enlargement. Obtain new C of O.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will be converted to a residential lobby and retail space. The second floor will be converted to parking for 32 cars. The third floor will have seven dwelling units, floors four through eight will each have eight dwelling units per floor, and the ninth floor will have six dwelling units. Floors five and nine will have roof terraces. The roof will have recreation space and the cellar will have additional retail space.
The property was acquired for $990,000 on August 23, 2010.
