Two Trees files plans for 41K sf utility building at Domino Sugar Factory megaproject site

Two Trees, on December 7, filed a permit application for construction of a 41,970-square-foot utility building at 320 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Hale Everets, architect/development manager at Two Trees, filed the plans.

The utility building is part of the developer’s megaproject to redevelop the Domino Sugar Factory along the Williamsburg waterfront. The larger plans include the Domino Park, the construction of four new buildings, and an interior renovation of the 140-year-old Domino Sugar Refinery. In total, the development will lead to the construction of 2,800 dwelling units, 700 of which will be affordable, 200,000-square-feet of retail space, and 600,000-square-feet of commercial space.

The plans call for the construction of a 20-foot-tall, one-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00629993.

The project is described in the filing as: construction of an accessory subgrade utility structure for operations storage and non potable water facility.

The floor plans for the project describe the building’s use as tanks/tower.

The architect listed is Dencityworks Architecture PLLC.
