Two Brooklyn office buildings receive initial TCOs
Ash Management, on November 24, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 46,336-square-foot office building at 949 Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
The plans, pre-filed on May 26, 2015, call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, five-story office building. The time from pre-file to TCO was five years and six months.
The project is described in the filings as: application is filed for a complete gut renovation, change in construction classification plus vertical addition to create a cellar, four-story with penthouse commercial building and bulkhead.
The cellar of the building has storage space, according to the plans. The ground floor has commercial and banking space. Floors two through four, as well as the penthouse, are all used for office space.

Andy Wong, on November 27, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 55,481-square-foot medical office building at 5521 8th Avenue in Kensington.
The plans, pre-filed on July 19, 2012, call for the construction of an 81-foot-tall, six-story medical office building. The time from pre-file to TCO was eight years and four months.
The project is described in the filings as: new building.
According to the plans, the ground floor and mezzanine have retail space. Floors two through six are used for ambulatory diagnostic or treatment health care facilities. Reports indicated the space will be used for medical office condos. The building also has a three-story underground parking garage with space for around 150 cars.
The building, which has a projected cost of around $33 million, was at one point set to open in 2017.
