Turin House files plans for $13M rehab to the UWS affordable co-op

The Turin House Development Fund, on May 11, filed a permit application for a $13.4 million renovation to the 188-unit, affordable cooperative building at 609 Columbus Avenue in the Upper West Side.

The plans call for a renovation of the 168-foot tall, 19-story, building. The building has 188 units with some of those units reserved for the elderly.

The project is described in the filings as: exterior restoration to include masonry repairs, concrete patching, repointing and roofing replacement as per plans filed herewith. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $13,352,810.

The property was acquired for $1.3 million on April 24, 2014.
