Tonin Lumaj permitted for Parkchester demo where 24 units planned

Tonin Lumaj, on February 8, was given a permit for the demolition of a building at 2040 Mcgraw Avenue in Parkchester, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on August 12, 2020, call for the demolition of a two-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of existing two-story building.

The developer purchased the property for $1.4 million on September 29, 2020. The property’s prior owner, in May of 2018, filed new building plans calling for a 60-foot tall, six-story, 18,070-square-foot residential building with 24 dwelling units.

Each of the six floors will have four dwelling units, per the plans.

The current developer did not immediately respond when asked if they plan to continue moving forward with those new building plans.
