The Benjamin Companies files plans for a 35K sf school building in Arverne

The Benjamin Companies, on April 27, filed a permit application for construction of a 35,782-square-foot school building at 6519 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Arverne.

The plans call for the construction of a 42-foot tall, 3-story, 35,782-square-foot building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed to construct the Challenge Preparatory Charter School, a 3-story educational building.

According to the plans, the ground floor will have classrooms, an office, a cafeteria, and storage. Floor two will have classrooms, a gym accompanied with locker rooms, a library/media center, and an office. Floor three will have classrooms, storage, and a faculty lounge.

The building will also have eight parking spaces, a soccer field, and a basketball court.

Urbahn Architects P.L.L.C is the architect listed on the filing.
