TCO for 60-key hotel in Williamsburg, 19 years after plans filed

Milan Patel under the Riam Realty LLC, on December 31, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 60-key, 20,010-square-foot hotel building at 426 South 5th Street in Williamsburg.

The plans, pre-filed on September 21, 2001 by a previous owner, call for the construction of a 47-foot tall, four-story hotel. The time from pre-file to TCO was 19 years and four months. The property was acquired with six other properties for $3.5 million on October 29, 2015.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed four-story transient hotel with cellar.

The cellar of the building has an office, fitness rooms, breakfast room, lounge, kitchen, and meeting room, per the plans. The ground floor has a lobby and 12 rooms. Floors two through four each have 12 rooms per floor.

Design 101 is listed as the architect.

Lemay + Escobar designed the building’s interior, according to the firm’s website.
