The principals of the development firm Double U, on June 1, were issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 37-unit, 27,459-square-foot residential building at 177-14 Wexford Terrace in Jamaica. The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot-tall, nine-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: new building, mixed-use community facility and residential.

The basement of the building has a 546-square-feet recreation area, lobby, child daycare, according to the plans. The OSP (space outside the building) will add an additional 311-square-feet of recreation space. Floors one through six will have five dwelling units each, while the seventh and eighth floors will each have four dwelling units.

The property was acquired for $1.4 million on October 7, 2013, with Jay Weitzman as signatory.
