Stagg Group permitted for 72-unit resi building in Concourse

Stagg Group, on April 9, was given a permit for construction of a 72-unit, 47,997-square-foot residential building at 305 East 165th Street in Longwood Melrose. Jay Martino, senior vice president of construction at Stagg Group, filed the plans.

Both foundation and new building permits were issued.

The plans, pre-filed on May 26, 2020, call for the construction of a 68-foot tall, seven-story residential building.

The plans originally called for the construction of 67 residences. And the address of the development site was listed as 301 East 165th Street.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, indoor parking for 17 cars, laundry, and a recreation space. Floors two through six of the building will each have 12 units per floor. The units on floors two and three will be affordable units for seniors, per the plans. The cellar of the building will have a gym.

Earlier this year the developer was given permits for construction of an 82-unit, 72,018-square-foot residential building at 4435 White Plains Road in Wakefield and for construction of a 77-unit, 45,823-square-foot residential building at 6375 Broadway in Riverdale

The property was acquired for $2.5 million on January 17, 2020.
