SL Green finishes $1.4M single-floor rehab of office building in Hudson Yards
SL Green Realty, on August 10, formally completed a $1.4 million rehabilitation of an office building at 460 West 34th Street in Hudson Yards.
The plans, pre-filed on February 12, 2016 by the building’s minority stake owner, Kaufman Organization, call for a rehab of the eighth floor of the 200-foot tall, 19-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation of office. No change of use, occupancy or egress under this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,350,000.
SL Green bought a majority stake in the building in a deal that valued the property at $440 million back in December of 2018.
Since then, the firm has signed a series of substantial leases at the building with tenants such as First Republic Bank and Amazon. In April of 2019, the large bank signed a lease to take 211,521-square-feet of space starting in April 2021 on the ground floor, mezzanine and floors two to six. In December of that year, Amazon signed a lease for 335,000-square-feet of space in the building.
