Senlac, Macklowe file demo in Park Slope to prep for 40-unit mixed-use building
Senlac Ridge Partners and William Macklowe Company, on June 29, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 120 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Gary Griggs, senior project manager at William Macklowe Company, filed the plans.
New building plans were filed in 2017 for a 62-foot tall, four-story, 52,012-square-foot mixed-use building with 40 dwelling units at the site.
According to reports, the developers had originally planned to construct two separate buildings with 165 units, 41 of which would have been affordable. However, the original plans were changed after extensive negotiations.
The plans call for the demolition of a one-story building, currently occupied by a closed Key Food grocery store.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of one-story structure.
The property was acquired for $59.4 million on April 24, 2020.
