Schwab House co-op files plans for a $3M rehab of the UWS building’s facade, roof

The residential cooperative Schwab House, on July 22, filed a permit application for a $3 million rehabilitation of the building’s facade and roof at 11 Riverside Drive in the Upper West Side.

The plans call for a rehab of the facade and roof of the 162-foot tall, 17-story, building that has 636 apartments.

The project is described in the filings as: miscellaneous facade and roof restoration. no change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3 million.

It is the third rehab filed at the Schwab House, named after steel magnate Charles M. Schwab, this year. The first two were plans to rehab individual condo units.
