Rudin files plans for 342K sf office in Midtown East

Rudin Management, on June 30, filed a permit application for construction of a 342,008-square-foot building at 415 Madison Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. Albert Sanfilippo, VP, deputy director of design and construction at the firm, filed the plans.

These are the second new building plans filed in Midtown East in the previous 12 months. According to an analysis of new building plans filed with the NYC DOB, these plans call for the construction of the tallest building in the neighborhood since the start of 2020.

The plans call for the construction of a 605-foot-tall, 40-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00759520.

The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 117 feet.

The project is described in the filing as: construct new building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail space, open-air public concourse, and a lobby. The upper floors of the building will all be used for office space. There will be terraces on floors three, seven, nine, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 38.

According to zoning diagrams included in the plans, the ground floor of the building will be 11,285-square-feet. The office floors will range in size from just over 6,000-square-feet to 10,968-square-feet. The majority of the office floors will be between 7,000-square-feet and 8,000-square-feet. All of the office floors will have 14-foot high ceilings.
