Royal Builders receives TCO for 38K sf of new community space in Kensington
Royal Builders, on January 12, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for a $2.9 million project which added seven-stories of community space to what had been a single-story commercial building at 2250 59th Street in Kensington. Joshua Markovics filed the application.
The plans, pre-filed on September 7, 2018, call for the increase in the size of the building from a 15-foot tall, one-story, 10,018-square-foot building to an 85-foot tall, eight-story, 48,086-square-foot building.
The project is described in the filings as: vertical enlargement. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,883,000.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will continue to be used for commercial space. The second floor has commercial office space and a terrace. Floors three through eight all have philanthropic community center space.
Engineering Professional SVCS is listed as the architect
The property was acquired for $4 million on May 23, 2018.
