Rockefeller Group finishes $5.3M multi-floor rehab at former Time-Life Building
Rockefeller Group, on November 17, formally completed a $5.3 million rehabilitation of several floors of the 1.96 million-square-foot office building at 1271 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown West. The building was formerly known as the Time-Life Building.
The plans, pre-filed on March 22, 2017, call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, and all floors of the 574-foot tall, 47-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: upgrade of existing modified class ‘E’ FA system via internal component upgrades to FCS, DGP’s and additions/modifications in compliance with bulletin 2015-025 paragraph 2C. Construction floors:c3, c2, c, 1-47, corresponds to market floors c3, c2, c, 1-12, 14-48. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $5,260,245.00.
AKF was the architect for the project.
Earlier this month, the developer was given a permit for a $17.8 million change in use to parts of three floors of the building.
