Robert Saffayeh in contract to pay $11.25M for Park Slope dev site

Developer Robert Saffayeh of Saffayeh Development signed a contract last month to buy two parcels in Park Slope, Brooklyn from a Roman Catholic church. The contract was disclosed yesterday in petition from the the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Family, which is seeking the required permission from a court to sell its property at 205 14th Street and 228 13th Street in Brooklyn for $11.25 million to Robert Saffayeh of Saffayeh Development.
The property is a 39,664 square foot development or conversion site in Park Slope, Brooklyn. That yields a price per square foot is $284 per square foot.
The purchase and sale agreement was signed October 26, 2021. According to the petition, the “Closing Date. The purchase and sale of the Property shall close the later of (i) December 27, 2021 or (ii) thirty (30) days from the date of Seller’s receipt of all Approvals (the “Closing Date”), as evidenced by the delivery of the Closing Documents as set forth in Section 8 of this Agreement (the “Closing”). Purchaser shall have the right to extend the Closing Date for an additional fifteen (15) day period (the “Outside Closing Date”). Seller and Purchaser each hereby represent and warrant to the other that it has not dealt with any broker in connection with the transaction contemplated in this Agreement other than JLL Capital Markets (the “Broker”).
