Prologis finishes $3.3M build-out for Amazon-leased warehouse in Soundview

Prologis, on February 24, formally completed a $3.3 million build-out of an industrial building leased to Amazon at 1055 Bronx River Avenue in Soundview, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on May 21, 2020, call for work one the cellar, roof, and only floor of the 31-foot tall, one-story building. The Commercial Observer reported in June 2020 that Amazon had inked a 200,000-square-foot lease for the building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovations associated with the Amazon delivery station, to accommodate a new floor plan for new rooms added in the office area as per plans filed herewith. No change to use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,294,000.

Gensler was the architect.

In July, the developer filed $1.3 million plans for the installation of solar panels on the roof of the building.
