Plans filed for $7.2M project to convert two floors of retail to office at 420 Fifth Avenue

Heritage Realty Services, on September 2, filed plans for a $7.2 million project that aims to convert retail space to office space on two floors at the office condominium located at 420 Fifth Avenue in the Garment District, Manhattan.

Rockefeller Foundation owns five floors in the building. They occupied the space in the early 1990s, before exercising an option to buy the floors by paying the remaining bond obligations of $30 million, according to the Real Deal.

The plans call for work on floors one and two of the 393-foot tall, 30-story building. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00581781.

The project is described in the filing as: Herewith filing to amend the certificate of occupancy on first and second floors as per plans.

According to the plans, stores on the first floor will be converted to a lobby for Rockefeller, while stores on the second floor will be converted to a meeting hall and conference room.

The architect listed is Studios Architecture.
