Plans filed for $6.5M tenant fit-out at Savanna-owned building in LIC

On May 11, plans were filed for a $6.5M tenant fit-out at 44-71 23rd Street in Long Island City, Queens. The building is owned by Savanna. The plans were filed by the management company Cushman & Wakefield.

The fit-out states that work will be done on floors one through three of the building. Last year, it was reported that Target planned to open a store that would span the entire 23,400-square-foot second floor and a portion of the third floor of the four-story retail building that is connected to the main tower’s lobby.

The plan call for a rehab of the 673-foot-tall, 49-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00671658.

The project is described in the filing as: scope of work is limited to tenant fit-out of an existing space. There are no changes to use, egress or occupancy.

The architect listed is Sblm Architects.

The property was acquired for $481.1 million on July 18, 2012.
