Plans filed for 59-unit resi building at newly purchased Tremont site

Darwin Torres, on June 22, filed a permit application for construction of a 59-unit, 35,989-square-foot residential building at 1771 Weeks Avenue in Tremont, the Bronx.

The property was acquired for $2.9 million on May 25, 2021.

The plans call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, eight-story residential building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number X00544328. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: new 59-unit apartment building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have five dwelling units. Floors two through five will each have eight dwelling units per floor, and floors six through eight will each have seven dwelling units per floor.

Max Disla Architect is listed as the architect.

The estimated job cost is $6,000,000.
