Plans filed for 113 affordable units in East New York

ENY Community Residences LLC is planning to construct a 113-unit affordable mixed-use building at 749 Van Sinderen Avenue, East New York, Brookyln. Joseph Gaon was the signatory on the filing as the applicant’s representative.

The new building will be roughly 103,493-square-feet, with 13,000-square-feet of commercial space and 90,493-square-feet of residential space. Of the 119 affordable dwelling units, approximately 24 will be two-bedroom units and six will be three-bedroom units.

The plans were disclosed in a filing seeking a zoning map amendment to change an M1-1 to C4-4L zoning district and a zoning text amendment to map MIH area, to facilitate the development.

The building will span 18 different lots, according to the filing. The parcels are owned by various different owners, according to a review of city property records.
