NYC School Construction Authority files plans for a $24M renovation of Bronx school
NYC School Construction Authority, on April 24, filed a permit application for a $24.1 million renovation on outdoor space, the cellar, roof, and floors one through five of a school building at 984 Faile Street in Bronx.
The plans call for a renovation of the 97-foot tall, 5-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed work includes removal and reconstruction of exterior masonry brick, replacement of parapets, windows, interior and exterior guards, roofing, part of concrete slab and waterproofing foundation walls. Remove and replace vacuum condensate pump and steam piping drains. No change in use, occupancy or egress is propose The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $24,136,700.
