NYC permitted for $7.5M rehab of UWS school
New York City School Construction Authority, on October 22, was given a permit for a $7.5 million rehabilitation of multiple floors of a school building at 160 West 78th Street in the Upper West Side.
The plans, pre-filed on April 12, 2019, call for a rehab of the basement, roof, and all floors of the 42-foot tall, three-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith architectural modifications to replace windows, doors, and roofing system; to install roof guard rails and roof access ladders; to repair and repoint exterior masonry; and various interior repair work. No change of use, occupancy or egress. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $7,500,000.00.
The SCA was also listed as the architect on the filing.
No A2 rehab plans have been filed at the building since April of 2019.
