NYCHA completes $7M rehabs to two Mott Haven residential buildings

NYC Housing Authority, on July 15, completed two rehabilitation projects, totaling $7 million, of residential buildings at 530 East 146th Street and 550 East 147th Street in Mott Haven.

The first project, pre-filed on September 28, 2018, called for a rehab of the roof, cellar, and floors one through five of the 50-foot tall, 5-story, building at 550 East 147th Street.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed for minor alterations to apartments including cabinet and door replacements, lobby finishes, plumbing fixture replacement, exhaust replacements, window replacement, roof replacement and new landscaping. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,036,000.

The second project, pre-filed on October 5, 2018, called for a rehab of the roof and floors one through six of the 60-foot tall, 6-story, building at 530 East 146th Street.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed for minor alterations to apartments including cabinet and door replacements, lobby finishes, plumbing fixture replacement, exhaust replacements, window replacement, roof replacement and new landscaping. No change in use, egress or occupancy The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,273,000.
