NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene files plans for a 21K sf animal care center in East New York

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, on May 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 21,619-square-foot building at 832 Shepherd Avenue in East New York.

The plans call for the construction of a 29-foot tall, 2-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed herewith for a new building for an animal care center. Capital project number HL82Brkln.

The plans show the building will have animal holding areas, a lobby, exam rooms, treatment rooms, and offices in the ground floor. The second floor will consist of additional animal holding areas, exam rooms, treatment rooms as well as surgery rooms, ICU/recovery rooms, and a lab and pharmacy.

Smith-Miller + Hawkinson Architects LLP is listed as the architect on the application.
