Nelson Leong files plans for 25-unit resi building in Astoria
Nelson Leong, on August 24, filed a permit application for construction of a 25-unit, 18,007-square-foot residential building at 34-29 37th Street in Astoria, Queens.
There have been 19 new building plans filed in the neighborhood this year. The plans are tied for the fourth most residential units of the 19 plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 76-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00568550. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: Affordable housing project, developmental HUB consultation was held and accepted on July 27th, 2021. Please assign to affordable housing unit at developmental HUB.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and nine parking spaces. The second floor will have indoor and outdoor recreation spaces and three dwelling units. Floors three through seven will each have four dwelling units per floor, while the eighth floor will have two dwelling units and recreational space.
The architect listed is Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects.
The property was acquired for $3.3 million on December 29, 2020.
