Naftali Group files plans for two mixed-use buildings, with 431 units in Williamsburg
Miki Naftali’s Naftali Group filed plans for two mixed-use buildings with a total of 431 units and more than 486,000 square feet in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in two separate filings. He bought the properties for a total of $102.4 million in May 2020.
In the first, Naftali Group, on January 5, filed a permit application for construction of a 249-unit, 263,374-square-foot mixed-use building at 490 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg. Michael Witek filed the application.
The plans call for the construction of a 225-foot tall, 22-story, mixed-use building.
The project is described in the filings as: NB application filed herewith to construct a new 22-story building.
The building’s amenities include laundry, pet grooming room, lounges, game room, and terraces, according to the plans. The ground floor of the building will have retail space. The dwelling units will span floors two through 21.
The building is being designed by Brandon Haw Architecture, and the architect of record is Hill West.
The property was acquired for $51.2 million on May 27, 2020.

On the same day, the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 182-unit, 223,042-square-foot mixed-use building at 480 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg. Again, Michael Witek filed the application.
The plans call for the construction of a 225-foot tall, 21-story, mixed-use building.
The project is described in the filings as: NB application filed herewith to construct a new 21-story building.
The building’s Schedule A indicates the building will have rental and condominium space. The ground floor will have lounge space, a lobby, pet spa, and retail space. Dwelling units will begin on the second floor. The seventh floor will have a pool, gym, lounge, and juice bar.
The property was acquired for $51.2 million on May 27, 2020.
